Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

Our client is a major financial services organisation, looking for somebody with experience of financial services policy, regulation and public affairs.

You will:

  • Maintain the organisation's international regulatory relationships and communications;
  • Coordinate the organisation's response to queries from international regulators, liaising with other teams as appropriate;
  • Monitor and analyse legislation and regulations and collate and store all relevant information;
  • Assess the impact of existing and new market access restrictions and legislative /regulatory burdens in relevant territories and coordinate the organisation's response to these;
  • Support communication with international regulators on business continuity/disaster recovery issues, in liaison with Press/Comms.

Our client is looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of working in a policy development or public affairs role ideally in finical services;
  • Experience of analysing and drawing conclusions from large and complex data sets;
  • Experience of engaging with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Good workload management, being able to balance a wide range of work with stakeholders.
