Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

An established and reputable representative body are in search of an Operations & Policy Manager to join a dynamic team with a passion for driving change within their industry.

The role will support Director and Head of level in managing working groups, developing policy and processes, establishing and disseminating best practice, commissioning research, drafting briefings, responding to consultations and liaising with stakeholders on key policy and operational areas.

Key duties:

  • Organising, supporting and reporting to committees, working groups and other stakeholder groups;
  • Co-ordinating allocated activities across the sector and ensuring members are kept up to date;
  • Working with members and all relevant external stakeholders to formulate policy positions and operational processes;
  • Developing policy positions, drafting consultation responses and preparing industry reports for submission to Government.

You will need:

  • A relevant degree level qualification;
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex issues;
  • Excellent presentation, analytical and report writing skills;
  • Good knowledge of policy processes and experience of developing policy positions and paper;
  • Confidence in building new relationships with industry stakeholders.
