- Quickly absorb information about your policy area, which may include complex or technological issues;
- Deploy this information to identify options and make recommendations for action;
- Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively in both spoken and written forms;
- Use and analyse numerical data, including budget information;
- Work effectively with multiple partners within the Department, across other Government Departments, and in delivery bodies;
- Act as an effective and supportive line manager.
