A healthcare organisation is seeking a high-achieving, talented individual to take lead on their public health policy agenda. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ambitious and is able to lead on delivering a variety of policy programmes concerning the issues of health.

Working as part of a successful team and department, the post-holder will be responsible for developing industry specific policy positions and projects in liaison with the public affairs team. Through the shaping and delivering of policy strategies, the post-holder will be representing the organisation’s aims ensuring key decision makers within the UK and EU are informed to successfully influence policy changes in the area of health and healthcare. 

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent;
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a policy role with an alertness to key issues in public health;
  • Experience in extracting and developing relevant policy positions from complex issues;
  • A track record of credibly working with and advising senior colleagues on complex matters;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to effectively handle external and internal stakeholder relations;
  • A strong understanding of the political landscape and awareness of Westminster and Whitehall processes and procedures.
