Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a leading charity who are looking for someone to join the team as a Policy and Campaigns Officer as we approach the General Election in 2015.

You will play a fundamental role within the team, using your expert knowledge to provide advice on policy development and campaigns. You will also be responsible for leading the work aimed at increasing health related services.

The role will include:

  • Producing evidence based reports;
  • Co-ordinate policy and campaigning work;
  • Write articles and speak on behalf of the organisation;
  • Represent the organisation at high profile events and meetings.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong track record in policy development and influencing;
  • Good understanding of UK health systems and health policies;
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
