Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A Policy & External Affairs Adviser (Health & Social Care) is being sought by an innovation-led trade association, based in central London.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing summaries of key policy documents and supporting the preparation of public policy submissions to government consultations;
  • Promotion of positions on key policy areas and events through the use of social media and other channels;
  • Support the implementation of a stakeholder engagement strategy;
  • Develop thought leadership papers, articles etc. on key issues relating to the health and social care landscape.

This is a busy and varied role that will require strong organisational and time management skills.  

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent;
  • A strong interest in and experience of working in a policy development / public affairs environment in the health and social care space;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and responsibilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to grasp complex information and relay to a variety of audiences;
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the most innovative issues that will change the way health and social care is delivered in the future.
