A leading trade association is seeking a Policy and Public Affairs Executive to help support the development and execution of a tactical policy and engagement strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the policy debate of a rapidly expanding sector that is recognised for innovation and rapid development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading on the development of a targeted stakeholder engagement programme;
- Contribute to the development of thought leadership and public policy whilst compiling a portfolio of intelligence sources that will inform the policy debate;
- Work closely with existing and new Members to ensure that they are contributing to policy and public affairs activity.
To be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
- Demonstrable experience of public affairs in a policy environment and understanding of Westminster and Whitehall institutions and processes;
- Demonstrable experience of working with senior business leaders;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) with the ability to adjust style to suit different audiences;
- Experience of organising and running events;
- Experience of managing junior staff/ interns.
