The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A leading trade association is seeking a Policy and Public Affairs Executive to help support the development and execution of a tactical policy and engagement strategy.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the policy debate of a rapidly expanding sector that is recognised for innovation and rapid development. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the development of a targeted stakeholder engagement programme;
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership and public policy whilst compiling a portfolio of intelligence sources that will inform the policy debate;
  • Work closely with existing and new Members to ensure that they are contributing to policy and public affairs activity.

To be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
  • Demonstrable experience of public affairs in a policy environment and understanding of Westminster and Whitehall institutions and processes;
  • Demonstrable experience of working with senior business leaders;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) with the ability to adjust style to suit different audiences;
  • Experience of organising and running events;
  • Experience of managing junior staff/ interns.
