UnLtd is a charity which supports social entrepreneurs - people with vision, drive, commitment and passion who want to change the world for the better. We do this by providing a complete package of funding and support, to help these individuals make their ideas a reality.

The UK needs social entrepreneurs more than ever, so the sector needs to become an alternative system of support during these challenging times. UnLtd is coming to the end of a five-year strategy to bring people together in a common cause to inspire hope for the future and build people’s confidence to act. We’re now looking to the future with a goal to make social entrepreneurship ‘the new normal’.

UnLtd is embarking on a new phase of its strategy. Our challenge is to take social entrepreneurship from being perceived as a niche activity into the mainstream, and to influence policy makers, public and private institutions and individuals to make it easier for social entrepreneurs to start up and thrive. We are now looking for a Policy Catalyst to play a critical and catalytic role in tackling this challenge.

Working with the Policy Lead and other colleagues to design and deliver a strategic and agile approach to policy throughout UnLtd, you’ll focus on the engagement of politicians, policy makers, think tanks, industry bodies, corporations and other public and private institutions that influence the environment in which social entrepreneurs operate. You will also identify policy opportunities and hooks, and work with colleagues and collaborators to convert them into tangible benefits and opportunities for social entrepreneurs. This is a great opportunity to bring entrepreneurial flair to a policy/public affairs role.

A methodical and well-organised individual, you will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and three years’ or more experience in a relevant role, preferably within a national organisation, as well as experience of engaging decision makers in order to influence change.
