Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Policy Lead (Pensions).

You will:

  • You will be responsible for developing investment policies which influence the outcome of public policy in the interests of our members. This will involve the production of high quality, evidence-based research reports and responses;
  • You will provide practical support to members on investment-related issues, for example through the production of guides and checklists;
  • You will provide high quality support to the Asset Owners Committee, Local Authority Committee and Stewardship Advisory Group;
  • You will represent the organisation at meetings and events, including meetings with senior officials and Ministers, Parliamentarians and industry leaders;
  • You will build strong links with government and regulators in the UK and EU.

You will have:

  • Experience of applying investment know-how in a public policy setting, e.g. some experience of dealing with and lobbying Government;
  • Experience of dealing with the media (print and broadcast);
  • Proven experience of operating at a senior level in a complex organisation;
  • Experience of public speaking, for example at industry events;
  • Experience of pensions or financial services policy, regulation, compliance or risk.
