Delany & Co. is a public policy and communications agency that helps innovative tech organisations to achieve their objectives. We provide high-end policy, strategy, public affairs and PR advice to a growing range of companies such as Zynga, Uber, Badoo and Matrix.org. We are looking for a Policy Manager to join our team to work across our expanding global client base on a full-time basis.
What’s the job?
- Working with the senior management team and colleagues to deliver real results for a range of clients, in particular in the Fintech sector;
- Developing and promoting industry best practice and standards;
- Creating and implementing policy positions, running stakeholder engagement programmes and influencing regulators and policy-makers;
- Liaising with senior industry and stakeholder figures;
- Monitoring and researching emerging tech industry and policy trends;
- Taking direct responsibility for a number of projects;
- Creating briefing papers, newsletters, research papers, blog posts, press releases, articles and minutes;
- Working with communications colleagues to execute PR campaigns, including through social media.
What kind of person are we looking for?
- Proven track record of developing policy and influencing stakeholders in an agency, industry body, in-house, political or similar setting;
- Experience of financial services and/or the technology sector desirable but not essential;
- Previous involvement in an industry body a plus;
- Excellent interpersonal, written, analytical and communication skills - you’ll need to act as an ambassador for D&Co and our clients, produce concise, accurate, engaging copy, and be comfortable liaising with a wide range of people and professions;
- Ambitious, eager to learn and able to quickly get to grips with complex and varied topics;
- Able to think strategically and creatively;
- Technologically literate;
- Organised, thorough and precise;
- Self-motivated and trustworthy.
