Clayton Desant is currently working with a healthcare regulator, based in central London, who are looking to appoint a Policy Manager for a two year fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will take the lead on a portfolio of key corporate and legislative policy development projects to inform the organisation’s overall regulatory agenda.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Development and delivery of policy projects;
  • Strategic analysis of the organisation’s policy priorities and obligations in the UK and EU;
  • Developing strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure wider support for the organisations policy and legislative agenda;
  • Providing leadership and overseeing the work of a small team.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Strong educational background to degree level or equivalent;
  • Significant background in leading policy development (regulator, central government department, NDPB, trade association etc.);
  • Demonstrable experience of working with a complicated network of senior internal and external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrable comprehension of the UK government, the devolved administrations and the broader regulatory context;
  • Demonstrable experience of managing teams;
  • Excellent communication written and verbal communication skills.
