Do you want to help improve the health and wellbeing of a generation?

The UK Faculty of Public Health (FPH) is a campaigning membership organisation representing nearly 4,000 public health professionals working across the UK and internationally.

We campaign to improve the public’s mental and physical health and wellbeing, seeking to help influence a broad range of public health topics – from tobacco to transport, children’s health to climate change, violence to viruses.

We are now seeking a talented Policy Officer to join our Policy and Communications Team and help us deliver FPH’s five-year strategy.

The successful candidate will have a track record in creating innovative and credible policy solutions which have the buy-in of key stakeholders.

You will be able to show how you have already influenced decision-makers effectively and improved people’s lives.

You will be able to juggle a complex policy agenda, proactively build and manage stakeholder, government and parliamentary networks, and work collaboratively across internal project teams and with influential external coalitions.

FPH has a small staff team and a passionate, caring and expert membership who are active participants in developing and delivering our agenda. You will be able to engage our membership in creative ways to support and drive this passion to help us deliver positive change in communities up and down the country at a time of significant political and economic opportunity and challenge.

We hope you will be as ambitious for your own professional development here as you are in helping FPH to effect change. And, finally, we want you to have fun and challenge yourself at work – it’s even in the job description.
