Private Secretary to the President for the London offices of a well known and prestigious membership body

Role description

The Private Secretary to the President will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Carrying out research and analysis;
  • Reviewing and analysing healthcare policy and other market information related to their professional and public policy, making suggestions and flagging issues to the President as required;
  • Providing strategy and support;
  • Attending meetings to provide support in taking minutes, writing agendas, etc.;
  • Management of the President's office;
  • Governance support;
  • Compliance.

Who we're looking for

The Private Secretary to the President will have the following skills/attributes:

  • Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of current policy issues in the UK healthcare sector, particularly the NHS;
  • Demonstrable track record of working in close proximity to senior stakeholders in both an advisory and support capacity;
  • Ability to confidently engage with and influence senior stakeholders in the healthcare sectors e.g senior members of the civil service, CEO, SPADS, Ministers and other stakeholders;
  • Evidence of carrying out committee work, writing agendas, papers, and be able to give full support at those meetings;
  • Able to take notes and excellent writing ability during meetings;
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and orally;
  • Good attention to detail.
