My client, a prominent organisation in the money and debt advice industry, is looking to recruit a talented Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement Manager with a solid understanding of the UK debt advice landscape, to provide stakeholder and wider communications to support the aim of getting more people into debt advice.

The post holder will be tasked with taking a lead on the development and execution of the corporate stakeholder engagement strategy, communications programme and plans in relation to debt advice.

It is essential that the successful candidate possesses the following experience:

  • Proven expertise in raising awareness among parliamentarians on the topic of debt advice;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the workings of Westminster, devolved Parliaments and EU institutions;
  • A solid understanding of the debt advice sector;
  • Proven experience of developing stakeholder messaging and channel management strategies that support the strategy and objectives of an organisation;
  • Proven experience of working with the press office and other colleagues to develop a media plan for normalising debt advice;
  • Demonstrable communication and presentation skills and expertise in influencing senior level stakeholders;
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver projects within inter-departmental teams.
