My client is a well-established and respected mid-size independent public affairs and communications consultancy with a strong client base. They have instructed me to recruit a talented and politically astute consultant to join their team in Westminster.

The client base is a mixture of Westminster and local political engagement; this role might suit someone from a planning background who wishes to move into national level public affairs.

The successful applicant will be developing and implementing political engagement strategies for a range of clients across the private, public, and third sectors, as well as managing media relations for some clients.

On the property side the client base includes major commercial builders, housing associations, and utility companies. At a national level the successful applicant would be representing the interests of a diverse range of clients including multi-national corporates as well as household name organisations in the third and public sectors.

My client is seeking:

  • Strong political networks and acumen;
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal;
  • The ability or potential to advise clients in a highly expert and professional consultancy capacity;
  • A background in politics, whether working in Parliament, in consultancy/in-house, or for one of the political parties.

In exchange they offer an excellent salary and very generous benefits package and bonus scheme, as well as fabulous offices, a strong team ethos, and a supportive and collaborative working environment.
