Our client is a leading professional membership organisation that promotes, develops and supports industry professionals worldwide. They are seeking an enthusiastic Public Affairs Executive to join their London-based team.

As Public Affairs Executive you will be expected to provide operational support to the Public Affairs team by monitoring parliamentary updates and liaising with MPs, stakeholders and civil servants. You will also get the fantastic opportunity of working on the team’s international division.

As Public Affairs Executive your key responsibilities will be:

  • To support UK political and parliamentary engagement, monitoring developments, delivering events, supporting meetings and briefing internal and external stakeholders;
  • To support international public affairs activity and work in sync with international regional offices;
  • To help develop the clients’ public affairs strategy, identifying political opportunities and obstacles, monitoring political outputs and mapping stakeholders.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have substantial experience of working as a researcher in parliament or at a public affairs agency;
  • Ideally have public affairs experience across financial services/accountancy accounts or for a trade/membership body;
  • Have a strong understanding of parliamentary processes and politics;
  • Hold excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
