Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Our client is an organisation that are at the heart of the political debate within their sector and enjoy a high and positive profile.

They are currently looking for a Public Affairs Manager to join their team and drive forward a proactive, industry leading PA and stakeholder engagement programme. The successful applicant will work closely with the Managing Director and the Executive Team and will be an integral part of the wider UK communications team.

Your role will include:

  • Design and deliver an effective public affairs programme at both a national and local level that will continue to enhance and raise the profile of the organisation;
  • Identify new stakeholder opportunities at both a local and national level and develop appropriate relationships;
  • Plan and lead key campaigns;
  • Provide political intelligence throughout the organisation.

You will have:

  • A significant background in policy and public affairs as well as stakeholder management;
  • Ideally some experience of the transport sector;
  • Exemplary communication skills – both written and oral;
  • Strong networks and relationship building skills.
