The Building Societies Association (BSA) is the trade association for UK building societies and two large credit union members.
We are looking to appoint a Public Affairs Manager. This appointment, which will report to the Head of External Affairs, will be responsible for devising and implementing the BSA’s public affairs strategy; ensuring that colleagues and members are kept apprised of development and that events to enhance engagement are delivered.
The successful candidate should ideally have:
- A good understanding of the UK Parliament;
- Some knowledge of Public Affairs in Brussels;
- Experience in liaising with MPs;
- Good diplomatic, influencing and persuading skills;
- Preferably a good knowledge of the financial services sector with experience in the mutual sector an advantage;
- Excellent writing, communication and IT skills.
The remuneration for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s experience.
