Our client, a local authority based in London, is looking for experienced Public Affairs Manager to join their team to drive forward a proactive and complex public affairs campaign on a major infrastructure project.
This is initially a fixed-term contract with the potential to progress to a permanent position.
Your role will include:
- Delivering an effective public affairs campaign that raises awareness and support of local issues;
- Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships across Westminster, Whitehall and broader third parties;
- Identifying media opportunities and threats;
- Line management responsibilities.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of designing and carrying out thoughtful, powerful public affairs campaigns;
- Extensive knowledge of the working of Government and Parliament;
- Experience of selling in complex stories to the media;
- Personal resilience and ability to deal with political sensitive topics given the nature of the role.
