Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

We are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to work as a deputy to Head of Policy and Public Affairs within the Public Affairs team. They will work with political, Governmental and animal welfare sector stakeholders to grow Battersea’s influence on public policy on all the key issues affecting the charity and our animals.

They will take a lead role in partnerships across the sector to identify opportunities to influence the political agenda; and improve the world for our animals while further embedding the importance of Public Affairs within Battersea.

We are a leading animal welfare charity and over the last 150 years we’ve grown from one home in London to three rescuing and rehoming centres across the South East. With c500 staff and 1000 volunteers, we have cared for over three million vulnerable animals We also campaign tirelessly to make things better for dogs and cats; sharing our expertise and educating the public and policymakers about responsible pet ownership. Our Public Affairs Team

The Public Affairs team manages Battersea’s policy stances, research, campaigns and external political influence. The team does this through engagement with politicians, Government officials, partner organizations and the public. As well as the Home’s significant campaigning output, it is responsible for the further development of Battersea as an authoritative commentator on policy developments at national, local and devolved levels.
