Opportunity to deliver an intensive programme of Parliamentary and senior stakeholder engagement in support of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform the way we live, work and travel.

As a Public Affairs Manager, you will assist the Head of Public Affairs in deploying an extensive programme of Parliamentary engagement, and a complementary programme of high level engagement with key national stakeholders in private, public and voluntary sectors. You’ll require enthusiasm, confidence and credibility, making the case for the biggest infrastructure project in Britain, explaining complex issues and securing active support for HS2. As Parliament will take the ultimate decision as to whether HS2 goes ahead, this remit will be key to the successful delivery of the programme.

For this highly influential role, we’re looking for a Public Affairs Manager who can offer:

  • A proven public affairs and Parliamentary track record, including an established contact base, to offer the project thoughtful political insight, first class issues management and to influence broader stakeholder audiences;
  • Evidence of working on national scale projects and campaigns in significant private or public organisations, including the demonstrable ability to influence legislative and regulatory change in Parliament or other legislatures;
  • The demonstrable ability to successfully integrate public affairs and communications and engagement programmes.
