Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Public Affairs Manager (UK) for a membership body.

You will:

  • Enhance and develop specific policies that promote the long-term development of the sector across the UK;
  • Lead the organisation’s regional reports, including convening the report steering committee and organising the launch of the report;
  • Support the work of the Head of Public Affairs and the public affairs team across other relevant areas where there is an impact on the cross-UK agenda and vice versa;
  • Working with government at national, devolved and local level to promote the organisation’s policy priorities in this space.

You will have:

  • Experience of a public affairs environment;
  • Understanding of and interest in local and regional policy, economic and political issues;
  • Self-starting/prioritising tasks/attention to detail/conscientious/take responsibility and ownership;
  • Excellent influencing and communications skills;
  • A collaborative and collegiate style.
