Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding External Relations team here at the MS Society.

The role will work with the team and across the organisation to ensure our public affairs activity is based upon the best and most up to date political insight, allowing us to maximize our influence in Westminster and Whitehall. You’ll work to ensure people with MS are supported to engage with Parliamentarians in Westminster and locally, as well as support the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for MS to run smoothly and efficiently.

This is an ideal role for those with some prior public affairs experience, excellent political knowledge, an interest in policies effecting disabled people and strong interpersonal skills.

The post holder will be armed with excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of external and internal stakeholders. You will be joining the Society at an exciting stage of its development and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and friendly team.

We offer 27 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), a 35 hour working week, travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.
