A leading health organisation is seeking a public affairs officer to support the delivery of their policy and government affairs agenda.

The ideal applicant will have an understanding of how the NHS and Department of Health functions and will have a grasp of the key health policy issues affecting this particular organisation.

The responsibilities of the post holder will be to:

  • Assist with policy and public affairs activities such as political monitoring, advising and drafting written briefings, reports and responses to consultations and arranging meetings with relevant parliamentarians;
  • Manage their stakeholder communications activities such as weekly briefings and social media.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent;
  • Experience and knowledge of parliamentary processes from working within a minister’s office, a charity, public sector organisation, regulatory body or a related field;
  • Experience or a willingness to deliver presentations and respond to questions from a variety of stakeholders.
