A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regulation Manger with a utility business based in Cambridge.

You will:

  • Become an industry expert, thought leader and industry voice around the Regulatory agenda for Business Planning and in the creation of the open market. You will voice the opportunities presented for different stakeholders, how regulators and policy makers can play the best role to enable those opportunities to be fully achieved, and how we can ensure that the risks are appropriately mitigated;
  • In markets where operators request support to implement interoperability, or where there is significant commercial opportunity, assess the regulatory and policy environment, identify barriers to implementation, and how to gain regulatory approval for the desired optimal operational solution;
  • Develop appropriate tools to help the company to identify and address regulatory and legal risks that need to be mitigated in order to achieve operational deliverables successfully;
  • Manage projects and structure workload during heavy periods of Regulatory work (e.g. price reviews);
  • Communicate Regulatory matters internally so that our employees are kept informed;
  • Interpret and respond to Regulatory questions to resolve issues;
  • Produce numerical analysis and modelling as well as report writing to Board level.

To take on this high profile role you will need previous experience working in regulatory affairs in any regulated market, a degree in an economics/finance discipline (or equivalent qualification/experience), and excellent communications skills.
