I am recruiting for a Regulatory Advocacy Director with a telecommunications organisation in
London. You will:

  • Work with the programme and regional teams to establish the programme’s operational approach to engaging with key stakeholders, including being responsible for country-specific advocacy engagement plans;
  • Undertake continuous assessment of policy landscape and regulatory developments to provide insightful analysis for in-market interventions in priority markets (as defined by the programme) and to produce and advocate policy recommendations;
  • Conduct analysis of regulatory frameworks and produce regulatory briefs and responses to regulatory proposals;
  • Identify opportunities to advocate policy recommendations by systematic monitoring of legislative and regulatory agendas and intelligence gathering in key markets.

You will have:

  • Relevant and broad experience of regulatory policy development and advocacy with strong experience in the telecoms sector;
  • Track record of working with high-level government, industry and other policy stakeholders and able to work through conflicting views to achieve success;
  • Sufficient knowledge of telecoms policy and regulatory issues with the gravitas to represent the organisation and engage meaningfully with stakeholders on regulatory topics;
  • A proven team player who can work effectively with teams across the organisation and can collaborate effectively with external stakeholders. They must be able to adapt their style to particular markets and appreciate the relative importance of various communications techniques, in different environments.
