Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to report directly into the Manging Partner in a Researcher and Executive Assistant capacity. A split role, the successful applicant will provide political and economic intelligence to the MP and the rest of the firm, including:

  • Weekly updates surrounding Brexit and the impact on the business;
  • Extensive research into a range of subjects surrounding finance, business, politics and public affairs;
  • Analysis of daily news to feed back to the MP and other Senior Partners;
  • Liaison with high level contacts at relevant organisations.

On top of research and policy tasks, the successful applicant will also be required to provide a full range of assistance to the MP, including but not limited to:

  • Prepare speeches for a range of occasions;
  • Full secretariat support for internal and external meetings;
  • Create presentations and collate paperwork;
  • Be the first point of contact for the MP;
  • Develop and maintain contact databases.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an intimate understanding of politics (especially surrounding the Brexit vote);
  • Ideally have an interest in business and financial services;
  • Have first-class communication skills (written and oral);
  • Have exceptional attention to detail;
  • Be confident engaging with senior personnel both internally and externally.
