Electus are working with a prominent regulator of healthcare professionals in the UK, responsible for safeguarding, setting standards for education, and investigating issues arising with fitness to practise.

The role is a two-year fixed-term contract focussing on the implementation of a key piece of EU legislation. Working closely with the Policy and Legislation Manager, the legislation seeks to introduce a member-state-wide information sharing network, the introduction of language standards for the health professionals involved, and the a more efficient system of recognising qualifications across member-states. The position will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice, developing and implementing new policy, and building new stakeholder relationships.

Our client is looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:

  • Extensive professional experience of policy development at a regulatory, governmental or EU level;
  • Experience of working with policy matters concerning and directly related to the European Union;
  • You'll be a self-starter, able to lead on policy projects from start to finish;
  • First rate communications skills and experience of producing policy papers for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders.
