Our client, a key national infrastructure provider is looking for an experienced Public Affairs Specialist who will work in their HQ in Belfast. The successful candidate will take the lead in the development, delivery and day-to-day management of organisation’s communications function.

Main responsibilities:

  • To develop and lead the implementation of external communications plans and stakeholder plans in Northern Ireland;
  • To take a lead role in advising on and developing the organisation’s public consultation processes around major infrastructure projects;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong networking and presentation skill.

Key skills and experience:

  • A significant background in public affairs or corporate communications;
  • Direct spokesperson experience with the media;
  • Strong commercial and public policy acumen;
  • Experience in developing and managing implementation of strategic communications plans;
  • Utilities/infrastructure experience desirable but not essential.
