Join the Network

You’ll play a critical part in our effective engagement with parliament and stakeholder organisations. Focused on maintaining accountability and transparency of information, you will support a programme of constituency engagement to strengthen the relationship between local operational colleagues and MPs.

This exciting role, reporting to the Parliamentary and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, will see you responding to information requests from parliamentarians and Select Committee enquiries. Adaptable and articulate, you’ll also support internal processes for responding to MP correspondence; co-ordinate events for engaging parliamentarians and stakeholders; monitor parliamentary business to ensure CQC colleagues are kept up to date on external developments; and brief our Executive Team ahead of parliamentary and stakeholder meetings.

This role is offered as a 12 month secondment or fixed term contract.

About you

You’ll have gained a sound understanding of government and parliamentary processes working in a public affairs, parliamentary or stakeholder engagement environment. Some experience of health or social care would be desirable. An interest in current affairs will be essential. You’ll add to that a degree or equivalent, excellent time management, research and analysis skills and the ability to translate complex information into digestible briefs. Your confident approach and strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to collaborate and impress across our large and complex organisation and with external stakeholders.
