The Nursing and Midwifery Council exists to protect the public. We do this by ensuring that only those who meet our requirements are allowed to practise as a nurse or midwife in the UK. We take action if concerns are raised about whether a nurse or midwife is fit to practise.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Parliamentary Officer who will support our work to understand and influence the organisations and audiences that help us to be an effective regulator. The work includes government and parliamentary relations across four countries of the UK, but also engagement with other regulators, and bodies representing service users and our registrants.
About you
You will have significant experience of working in public/external affairs and can demonstrate your success in influencing others. You are politically astute and a critical thinker who can help the NMC scan and interpret the external environment and anticipate opportunities for intervention and collaboration.
