To research, develop and communicate policy work in relation to employment related issues, both internally to members and externally to a wide range of stakeholders, to ensure that the interests of members are represented to the UK Government and other relevant stakeholders.
The post holder will take the lead on market issues such as; employment trends, pay, pensions, self-employment, health at work and employment law.
The post holder will be the lead point of contact for relevant policy work emanating from DWP, BEIS, HM Treasury and other relevant departments and agencies.
Successful applicants will have the following skills/ experience:
- Proven policy experience on issues relating to employment;
- In depth knowledge of the Westminster political processes and systems and key political figures in UK Government and Parliament;
- Excellent writing skills and proven experience in the production of policy research publications, briefings, consultation responses, letters to Ministers, and input into press comments and articles for both internal and external publications.
