My client is a UK membership body, leading the way on financial services issues at a UK and EU level.

Alongside the Head of Financial Services, this position plays a leading role, managing a team looking at the ever changing FS policy landscape who at present are focusing on things such as EU exit negotiations, regulation, economic growth, prosperity and competitiveness.

A successful applicant for this position will have:

  • Significant knowledge around current financial services regulatory issues (essential);
  • Experience of policy formulation (essential);
  • Experience of building the external profile of an organisation (essential) and building links within relevant networks;
  • The desire to take on line management responsibilities (no previous experience necessary);
  • Experience of public policy at a UK (essential) and EU level (desirable);
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, as multiple projects will be running at once (essential);
  • The gravitas to engage confidently with very senior level external stakeholders;
  • The ability to plan ahead and look at the upcoming policy landscape and plan work streams (essential) and budget accordingly (desirable).

This is a rare opportunity to work for an organisation that is central to UK policy debates on a national and international level, and has the resource and expertise to have a real impact.
