My client is a leading membership body, working on a UK, EU and global level across a broad spectrum of policy areas.
This particular role sits within the team that looks at policy around energy, housing and transport.
Depending on the level of experience that you have, you may be given line management responsibility for a more junior member of this policy team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of at least one of the infrastructure topics; housing, energy or transport, in a similar role such as policy, public affairs, economics or law;
- Experience of managing a diverse range stakeholders, including at a very senior level;
- Understanding of the broader UK and EU political landscape;
- First class communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with external contacts including relevant officials within government, parliament and non-governmental stakeholders;
- Experience of delivering presentations and representing an organisation at external meetings and events;
- Achieved a 2:1 at degree level or equivalent, a master’s degree is desirable;
- A strong commercial and business awareness.
