Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

My client is a leading membership body, working on a UK, EU and global level across a broad spectrum of policy areas.

This particular role sits within the team that looks at policy around energy, housing and transport.

Depending on the level of experience that you have, you may be given line management responsibility for a more junior member of this policy team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of at least one of the infrastructure topics; housing, energy or transport, in a similar role such as policy, public affairs, economics or law;
  • Experience of managing a diverse range stakeholders, including at a very senior level;
  • Understanding of the broader UK and EU political landscape;
  • First class communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with external contacts including relevant officials within government, parliament and non-governmental stakeholders;
  • Experience of delivering presentations and representing an organisation at external meetings and events;
  • Achieved a 2:1 at degree level or equivalent, a master’s degree is desirable;
  • A strong commercial and business awareness.
