A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Policy Advisor (NHS).

You will be:

  • Leading demanding, high profile policy and research projects that support the delivery of the organisation’s corporate strategy and generate benefits for the NHS and patients;
  • Planning and designing well articulated policy projects that are clear about the problem being addressed, have a sensible scope and approach and a well thought through set of deliverables;
  • Ensuring project tasks are managed effectively and outputs delivered in a timely fashion;
  • Leading the analysis and problem-solving required for policy projects including evidence gathering and running workshops;
  • Presenting project findings and recommendations in an influential and engaging manner;
  • Managing stakeholder engagement that gathers insightful thinking and advice relevant to the project;
  • Leading project teams and providing ongoing feedback and coaching for team members.

You will have:

  • An undergraduate degree with excellent academic record;
  • Experience in health policy;
  • Experience with government/civil service or major strategy consulting organisations;
  • Strong problem-structuring and problem-solving skills as demonstrated in policy, strategy or research projects;
  • Strong research and project management skills;
  • Good organisational skills and ability to plan and run policy studies to deadlines, leading small teams as appropriate;
  • A confident communicator with strong drafting and presenting skills;
  • The ability to build credibility and influence senior audiences on complex topics;
  • Comfortable with both working independently and as part of small multi-disciplinary teams, displaying interpersonal skills and utilising resources effectively;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain discretion and use initiative.
