JDRF is the type 1 diabetes charity, improving lives until we find the cure. We fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. We also provide information for children and adults living with the condition at all stages from diagnosis and beyond. We give a voice to people with type 1 diabetes and campaign for an increased focus on and funding for research to find the cure. Internationally we have funded £1billion of research so far.

We want our employees to be committed and prepared to go the extra mile to assist us in finding the cure for type 1. Whatever your role is within JDRF you can be guaranteed that your work will always be rewarding.

We are seeking a motivated, driven individual who will help us speed up the delivery of new treatments and technologies to people with type 1 diabetes; as well as to maximise the benefits of our existing political relationships, and create new ones, to accelerate research to cure, treat and prevent type 1.

Attention to detail is crucial, as is an ability to analyse large amounts of information and produce easy to digest summaries and position statements. An ability to build and forge relationships both internally and externally and develop these to the advantage of JDRF is essential.  Experience of working on large scale lobbying events as well as within the UK healthcare policy environment would be an advantage.

This post holder will work with NICE, SIGN, the Diabetes All Party Parliamentary Group and politicians from all ends of the political spectrum.  They will also harness the skills and expertise of colleagues in the UK and internationally to help drive forward JDRF’s agenda.

In return we offer, a generous annual leave entitlement rising with length of service, Pension scheme, interest free season ticket/bike loan, Health Cash Plan and Childcare Voucher scheme.

As part of this role you will be expected to undertake a DBS disclosure check.
