Our client is a well established and regarded charity based in London.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will have the following duties/responsibilities:
- You will report directly into the Head of Policy and Campaigns to grow parliamentary support for the organisation locally and nationally and their key campaigns;
- Your key external stakeholders will be MPs, Peers, civil servants, other charities and healthcare professionals.
What we're looking for:
- Strong influencing skills;
- Good understanding and knowledge of Westminster and the UK political system;
- A proven track record in policy analysis and development;
- A good networker with excellent people skills;
- Previous experience of engaging with and influencing MPs and legislators;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Good time management and project management skills;
- The ability to think strategically;
- Understanding of health and/or social care issues in the UK (Desirable).
