A fantastic 18 month fixed term contract has arisen for Senior Policy Manager with a regulator:

  • Provide strategic vision, leadership and delivery on policy issues associated with the programme and beyond;
  • Exercise critical challenge of diverse and conflicting sources of evidence, taking steps to supplement this where required, and working with stakeholders and technical specialists to identify and test key considerations for the future;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of developing regulatory policy. You will evaluate the rationale for existing arrangements and the case for change, providing advice and anticipating and responding to factors which may require the regulatory framework to evolve;
  • Experience of developing effective stakeholder engagement both internally and externally. You will build relationships with key stakeholders, to navigate and resolve novel and complex issues effectively;
  • Experience of working on significant and complex programmes of work with challenging deadlines, from initiation through to implementation.

You will have:

  • Exercise critical challenge of diverse and conflicting sources of evidence, taking steps to supplement this where required, and working with stakeholders and technical specialists to identify and test key considerations;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of developing regulatory policy. You will evaluate the rationale for existing arrangements and the case for change, providing advice and anticipating and responding to factors which may require the regulatory framework to evolve;
  • Experience of developing effective stakeholder engagement both internally and externally;
  • Experience of producing a variety of clear and concise documents, including policy positions, Board papers and public consultations, and presenting these to a range of internal and external audiences;
  • Experience of working on significant and complex programmes of work with challenging deadlines, from initiation through to implementation.
