A healthcare regulator is currently seeking an experienced policy professional to develop evidence based policy positions whilst working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and respond to policy developments across the healthcare and regulatory landscape. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading on the development of policy relevant to the organisation’s strategic and corporate policies;
  • Provide policy expertise and input into the new policy programme;
  • Ensure policy outputs are in line with UK and EU regulatory requirements;
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a joined up approach to policy outputs.

Candidates are required to demonstrate the following essential knowledge, skills and experience to be suitable for the role:

  • A strong academic background to degree-level or equivalent;
  • Demonstrable experience of developing evidence-based policy positions;
  • Experience of working with, interpreting and understanding legislation;
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to develop policy;
  • Demonstrable experience of producing a range of complex policy documents and other written material;
  • Direct experience of engaging with, and influencing policy at national and government level;
  • Demonstrable understanding of the devolved administrations in the UK;
  • Experience of working with and understanding legislation;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
