A fantastic opportunity 6 month fixed term opportunity has a Senior Public Affairs Advisor with a high profile membership body.
You will:
- Deliver the organisation’s political engagement programme, including engagement plans for organisations reports and policy positions;
- Deliver a programme of visits to EU Member States, including identifying key stakeholders and organising meeting programmes in EU Member States/Brussels;
- Identify opportunities for organisations to engage with priority policymakers;
- Brief the Leadership Team and senior managers in advance of meetings with policymakers;
- Proactively identify appropriate ministers, UK and EU parliamentarians, officials and opinion formers for the organisation to engage with.
You will have:
- Senior-level experience;
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills;
- Extensive and preferably direct knowledge and experience of workings of UK and EU political systems and legislative processes;
- Ability to influence and to engage with policymakers and stakeholders;
- Confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to network, develop relationships and work with senior individuals across a range of organisations;
- Analytical and report writing skills of a high calibre.
