Leading business requires an experienced Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Public Affairs professional to shape and communicate its corporate story with links to its Ethics and CSR strategy.

Establishing a framework and ensuring it is embedded in processes and has clearly measurable outputs that are linked to overall business objectives. A unique position which brings together external affairs, public affairs, CSR into one role. A trusted advisor to Communications Director and Executive team on protecting and enhancing the reputation of the organisation with its varied stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities included:

  • Own stakeholder mapping and engagement strategy and projects;
  • Actively monitor and analyse policy, regulatory and social horizon and advise on impact or opportunity for business;
  • Lead the development and implementation of organisation’s ethics and public affairs engagement strategy across Government, Westminster and other interested stakeholders;
  • Act as senior media spokesperson on issues of ethics, CSR and public affairs;
  • Lead stakeholder engagement programmes and events;
  • Develop content for annual reports and other regulatory requirements;
  • Manage and develop CSR and Public Affairs team;
  • Aligning activities with wider Communications team campaigns.

Candidates must have extensive experience of advising at Board and senior leadership level with solid commercial and operational understanding, and be able to translate complex issues into clear messages for a variety of external stakeholders and work at pace. The successful candidate will also be confident in delivery and able to gain buy in from the top.
