As an SEO, you’ll get to grips with a range of different policies, using evidence and expertise from within and outside Government to help to guide decisions about how they are developed. Whether you’re part of a team who briefs Ministers and senior officials or works alongside key stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Handling a full range of policy and corporate service areas, you’ll collect, interpret and present key information to make sound judgements, often dealing with diverse problems. Exercising effective project management skills and techniques to deliver outcomes, you’ll work towards clear priorities, goals and timescales, ensuring professional excellence on every project.
In addition to your strong analytical and technical abilities, you’ll also need to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal and managerial skill. A confident and inspiring communicator, you’ll cultivate your own networks, develop teams and delegate tasks. Honest, engaging and adaptable, you’ll be a true team player.
