Are you someone with a passion for, and proven experience of, delivering stakeholder relations and public affairs programmes which make a real difference? We are looking for a Stakeholder Relations Officer to work with colleagues across our communications department to ensure we engage effectively and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders who are vital to growing Nesta’s influence and the impact of our work in backing and scaling innovations that change society for the better.

About Nesta

Nesta is a global innovation foundation. We back new ideas to tackle the big challenges of our time. We use our knowledge, networks, funding and skills - working in partnership with others, including governments, businesses and charities. We are a UK charity but work all over the world, supported by a financial endowment.

About the role

A key member of our fast-paced communications team, you will be responsible for coordinating our stakeholder management and public affairs activities, supporting colleagues to map, prioritise, nurture and build stakeholder relationships that expand Nesta’s impact and influence. Reporting in to the Campaigns Manager, you will work across the communications mix to ensure that our ongoing campaigns, projects and programmes engage with key stakeholders, and work alongside teams to build and maintain high quality databases and record new relationships and conversations / engagements with relevant people across the organisation and beyond.

To secure this exciting opportunity

With experience of identifying, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with people in a wide range of sectors, you will have a keen interest in the policy environment and campaigns to influence it - particularly in relation to Nesta’s areas of activity - and knowledge of the workings of national, regional and/or local government. You’ll be an exceptional communicator, able to communicate with a range of audiences, think quickly and keep multiple plates spinning. You’ll also be adept at establishing and managing the infrastructure needed to maintain these activities through the use of tools such as our CRM (SalesForce).
