What it’s all about

We are looking for a talented business development professional to work from our Winchester or London offices. With a proven track record of driving business growth, the suitable candidate will, ideally, have experience of working within a similar role in the built environment sector (property, infrastructure, energy and utilities, environment, waste and recycling).

Highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starting – you’ll have a passion for business development and delivering excellent results. With a strong commercial focus, you will have experience setting up and managing business development processes, generating leads and securing new business.

Responsibilities and Duties

As part of the Group Marketing team, you will be working with directors on all aspects of business development across the UK.

You will need to conduct market research and analysis in order to source, follow up and track opportunities for new business growth. You will be responsible for keeping new business resources up to date and supporting the business units with proposals and pitches, procurement and tenders. You will also responsible for ensuring a strong business development infrastructure is in place and efficient systems exist to capture, track and report progress.

What you need to be

  • An excellent communicator;
  • Someone who understands all aspects of business development;
  • Able to build relationships with clients, prospective clients and external stakeholders;
  • Able to build relationships across business units and facilitate effective internal communication;
  • Experience of using and maintaining a CRM (ideally Hubspot);
  • Knowledge and understanding of the built environment sector.
