Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Our fast paced communications team is looking for a talented individual to join us and support our work to communicate our campaigns. With a particular focus on supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System's (ICS) stakeholder and parliamentary engagement, the role will also manage and contribute to our communications plans and playing an active role in our media relations.

As a team player and able to build relationships quickly, you will be joining a hard-working and supportive communications and engagement team, at an exciting time in the NHS as we transform services and support patients across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICS.

Job responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for helping to manager the organisations stakeholder, and parliamentary engagement, as well as managing and contributing to wider communications plans and playing an active role in our media relations, as required.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting our public affairs work, ensuring we are abreast of key political and stakeholder developments and that we maintain strong relationships with a broad range of bodies and individuals. This includes those across Parliament, professional representative organisations, patient groups, and think tanks. You will play a key role in supporting our external monitoring activities, as well as in drafting briefings for the chief executive, chair, and other senior colleagues on emerging developments and ahead of engagement opportunities.

This role will also support the drafting, scheduling, and issuing of correspondence to our strategic partners on a range of matters using your political, stakeholder and healthcare policy insight.
