Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

As a member of the senior leadership team in a key business unit of a global corporate, leading a team and with the support of agencies, you’ll be responsible for developing sustainability-led external and internal communications programmes that enhance the quality and depth of stakeholder relationships across the UK, the public, media, policy makers, NGOs and industry included. Providing strategic counsel and making clear recommendations to senior colleagues across the business, you’ll work with peers across the group and with marketing functions to ensure consistent messaging, mapping out and building relations with external opinion formers, identifying reputational risks and managing response in crisis situations. Experience gained in corporate affairs within a consumer-facing business is essential and you’ll demonstrate keen judgement with strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership skills. This is a proactive, varied role which requires energy, drive and creativity in order to deliver against business objectives and you’ll need to be skilled in assimilating complex issues and managing competing priorities.
