External Affairs Officer, joining a rapidly growing Global Health Charity, based in London.

Looking for your next career move in External Affairs? Or, working within the healthcare sector with excellent account management & external stakeholder communication skills, looking to work in External Affairs?

As the External Affairs Officer, you will work with the Senior External Affairs Manager and PR team, providing external affairs and communications work support aimed at positioning the charity as an influential player in the cancer and wider healthcare sector.

The External affairs team crosses public affairs, media and public relations, corporate communications. You will be responsible for areas such as:

  • External affairs research, planning and delivery that will enable the charity to reach and engage public audiences and the healthcare sector;
  • Manage engagement activities with health-related policy makers, opinion leaders and influencers, from within the health service, government/parliament and/or the civil service;
  • Cross-team production of briefing material for senior leadership engagement with ministers, politicians, civil servants’, and other key-policy makers.

Our client is looking for you to have either; previous experience of working either in an External Affairs setting, or lobbying/influencing role, ideally within the charity sector. Or, have worked within the healthcare sector in an account management role with a keen interest of developing a career in Public Affairs.

Working from home currently, with a return-to-work pattern of 2 days from home and 3 days in the office when safe to do so.
