I am currently recruiting for a Manager Prudential Policy / Regulatory Insight with a global professional services firm in London.

The role will provide an opportunity to develop your technical knowledge across a range of topics and your wider industry knowledge, to support a broad range of clients across the banking an investment firms’ markets. It offers a unique mix of client work, market profile activities, regulatory engagement and proposition incubation and would provide a valuable cycle of experience for anyone looking to progress in the firm.

You will be:

  • Supporting clients and client delivery teams with industry and technical expertise on prudential matters for banks and investment firms;
  • Undertaking horizon scanning activities and identifying potential new opportunities for the firm;
  • Contributing to the work of the team focusing on new regulatory developments, wider themes and regulators’ policymaking, supervisory and enforcement activities;
  • Producing written analysis and information including internal briefings, client publications, marketing materials, website content, press releases, etc;
  • Conducting technical research, training, speaking at client events, responding to consultation papers from relevant regulatory bodies etc;
  • Providing input to the debate on development and application of policy, participating in developing Thought Leadership;
  • Engaging with regulators and policy makers on areas of expertise, and supporting the activity of the wider regulatory relations team.

The ideal candidate would have demonstrable experience in banking prudential regulation, with particular focus on CRR/ CRD IV, CRR II/ CRD V and Basel IV, EBA standards and the PRA’s approach to prudential supervision. The candidate should be able to identify how risk and regulatory challenges will impact clients, as well as an awareness of the wider issues affecting this sector. Previous regulatory experience, including an understanding of policy making and supervisory priorities is key.
