The Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) is the new industry association which represents betting shops, online betting and gaming and casinos. Its mission is to champion industry standards in betting and gaming to ensure an enjoyable, fair and safe betting and gaming experience for all customers.

We are seeking a Policy and Regulatory Affairs Manager to help deliver services and support the organisation’s work programme to raise standards and ensure that government, parliament and stakeholders are engaged in our work.

The Manager will be directly responsible for the following:

  • To assist and support the BGC team with designing, drafting and delivering policies for the BGC;
  • To participate in creating a policy delivery plan and ensuring its implementation;
  • To work with the Directors on external policy positions;
  • To create robust evidence to support policy positions;
  • To act as a catalyst and champion of change to create a culture of responsible and safer gambling through policies.

Requirements of the position are the following:

  • Knowledge of the betting and gaming industry preferred but essential;
  • Understanding of policy development;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Persuasive and influencing skills including with members, stakeholders and the internal team;
  • Strong written and verbal communications;
  • Previous experience with trade association helpful but not essential.

The Manager position is an employed position with a salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
