We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to support the development of community pharmacy across Britain. Covering topics such as patient safety, digital innovation, and service design, you will be able to gain experience in a breadth of subjects across pharmacy practice and healthcare. Joining our Policy Team, you will assist in the creation of policy, and work with policy managers to understand and further our members interests. You will support the team through both administration and planning for our standing working groups, as well as undertaking short projects to meet specific objectives.

With a confidence in IT usage, particularly Excel, you will undertake data and evidence collection to shape the work of the team and our members. Meeting senior managers and clinicians within CCA companies, you will be able to share your analysis and support community pharmacy as it transforms to a more patient facing role.

This role is ideal for someone new to policy work or the healthcare setting. The policy team is a small and experienced group, able to support your development. You will join us at an exciting time for the CCA and the UK’s community pharmacy sector.

  • Ability to build and develop good working relationships;
  • Excellent numerical and data analysis skills;
  • Ability to support multiple projects and associated deadlines;
  • Ability to produce written work to a high standard;
  • Insight into or understanding of the role of trade associations is desirable;
  • Previous experience working with an office team is desirable.

Who are we?

Established in 1898, the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) is a trade association for the large community pharmacy operators in England, Scotland, and Wales. We represent the interests of our members and provide a forum for them to combine their unique scale, skills, and knowledge for the benefit of patients, the public, and the NHS.  Our members own and operate around 6,000 pharmacies across Britain. They dispense over 500 million NHS prescription items every year and deliver a broad range of healthcare and wellbeing services – such as COVID vaccinations.

The role is based in our London office, with the opportunity for some blended home working.
